Lady Rams lax gets job done against Patriots

After a tough loss to Cumberland Valley, the Central Dauphin Girls Lacrosse team improved to a 3-1 record by taking down the Red Land Patriots 10-5.

After the Rams got off to a slow start, senior defender Emili Ihm fired up her team by leaping and stretching high for a one-handed interception. A few minutes later she followed up that amazing play by snaring another interception and turning it into the first goal of her career.

After going into halftime with a 4-3 lead, Rams junior attacker Sarah Doherty led a second half charge that resulted in her scoring a career high of four goals.

Senior goalkeeper Caroline Reichelderfer complemented a rock solid defense with five saves.

The JV squad also produced and exciting game with 6-5 victory. Freshman Charlotte Tenny had a great all-around game, scoring two goals and controlling two draws. Freshman Abby Grenoble continued her hot streak with two goals, giving her a total of six on the year.

The Rams visit Cedar Crest on Saturday at 10 a.m.
