Rams boys lax steamrolls East Panthers

By Jeff Kolakowski

The Rams faced off against the CD East Panthers Monday evening and found themselves in the semi-annual position of being the visiting team at Landis Field against their cross-district rivals.

The Rams continually won the face off battle and ground ball game. Controlling the ball for 80-85% of the game gave them a distinct advantage. They were able to get off shot after shot. The Panther goalies gave a great effort trying to slow the scoring.

CD ended the half with 10 shots hitting the back of the net. The second half was a slight mirror of the first – different players – same result. Younger players filled in for most of the half and were able to score nine more as the clock moved to running time. Both CD goalies stopped a handful of shots each to complete the shutout and put the final score at 19-0.

The JV team continues to play well as they won 13-0 and move to 12-1-1 on the season.

The final regular season game is schedule for Thursday, 7 p.m. at Lower Dauphin.
