Lower Paxton Twp. Board of Supervisors meeting, 07.21.09 By SWAN * Judge Wenner administered the oath of office to police officer Keegan Wenner. CLICK HERE for an article from The Patriot-News entitled New officer following uncle's footsteps. * Under Old Business, the supervisors approved a supplement to the agreement between the township and Arora and Associates, P.C. for engineering services related to the Linglestown corridor improvements Under New Business, the supervisors approved a resolution approving an agreement with PennDOT to advertise, open bids, award a contract and provide construction for the Linglestown Corridor Project. The two resolutions related to the Linglestown project were approved after the fact - PennDOT required them so the state agency can pay the contractors hired to do the work. Leon E. Wintermyer, Inc. was the apparent low bidder for the project at $4,060,000. * After a public hearing, an ordinance setting forth the allocation of building permits in the Beaver Creek Sanitary Sewer Basin was unanimously approved. There are 54 permits available July 1 through December 31, 2009, and 18 permits available January 1 through March 31, 2010. * A resolution for an application for funding for police officer training was unanimously approved. * A contract change order was approved for the Linglestown Road sanitary sewer force main project that was done last fall. The supervisors agreed to pay an additional $3,776 for quantities of materials used for the project. * Under Subdivision and Land Development, a declaration of lot consolidation for Devonshire Memorial Church of the United Brethren in Christ was approved unanimously.
