Lady Rams lax lasso Colts in season’s 5th win

Central Dauphin Girls Lacrosse improved Tuesday to a record of 5-1 with a dominant performance against Cedar Cliff.

The Rams entered halftime with a 15-0 lead en route to a 19-3 victory. In the overall outstanding team effort, the Rams excelled in all facets of the game.

Senior Marley Kostelec led all scorers with five goals, while senior Skyler Oken was right behind her with four. Senior Erin Zieber dominated the draw circle with 12 draw controls.

With the game well in hand, the Rams pulled most of their starters early while allowing others to try different positions. Starting defenders Hailey Pratt, Liza Szobacan and Kayla McHugh tried their hands at attack and each scored their first career varsity goal.

The JV team was also able to earn an impressive victory, improving to 4-1-1 after defeating the Colts by a score of 9-1. Maggie Doherty scored her first career goal in the win.

The Rams will play Dover at Landis Field on Thursday evening.
