Sometimes you have to spoil the party. Tonight was one of those night’s for the CD Lady Rams, as they went into the Manheim Township Holiday Tournament title game and grabbed the hardware away from the host team Lady Blue Streaks.

Rams senior guard Sam Gress took home tourney MVP honors with a 25 point performance, to go along with her 16 last night in the opening round against Palmyra. Sophomore guard Maddie LaFrance joined Gress on the all-tourney team.

Junior guard Haleigh Lackner (pictured above) was just … well, Haleigh Lackner. She was all over the court and made things happen on both ends, just when her team needed a spark. Disruption at its basketball best.

The Rams exit the tourney with an overall record of 8-1, and will move on to prepare for arguably their biggest challenge of the season … a Wednesday home game with their West Shore rival, Cumberland Valley.

Congrats to Coach G and his players!
