Ring in the New Year with 1st Annual Jingle Linglestown

The Linglestown Area Civic Association (LACA) is putting on a festival!

In efforts to promote community togetherness, increase awareness and business in Linglestown, LACA is organizing a festival for New Years Eve – the 1st Annual Jingle Linglestown.

The plan is to literally ‘ring in the new year’ with bells – LOTS of ‘em! Local churches and the fire house will be ringing their bells at midnight, and you can join in the fun. You can bring your own bell, or buy one of the LACA commemorative cowbells for $15.

The festivities will begin at 10:00 p.m. There will be music, food, family oriented games and activities, etc. Then at midnight the bells will be ringing.

We have sent letters inviting many community organizations and churches to join in our festivities by providing some of the food and activities. We are still awaiting response from many of these local organizations. I urge you to please promote participation with any groups of which you may be a part.

We need community participation and more volunteers to make this happen. We’re hoping to have groups sponsor/host some family games and maybe some face painting, and to sell or otherwise provide food and beverages.

For information regarding the event, please contact Angela Dicks at or by phone at 717-460-6219.
