The Central Dauphin Rams boys lacrosse team found some good form in recent days that led to their seventh and eighth victories on the season. (8-6 overall, 6-5 Mid Penn Conference)
CD 15 – Chambersburg 6
The Central Dauphin Rams took on the Chambersburg Trojans Thursday afternoon at CD High School. The Rams were looking to bounce back after a couple close losses and did just that.
Early scores from Max Anderson and Marco Bressi helped CD jump out to a 3-0 lead.
Chambersburg answered late in the first quarter with a pair of goals to bring the score to 3-2.
It would be all Rams from there as CD went on a 6-1 run into the third quarter and would never look back.
It was a dominant offensive day for the attack group lead by Brenden Yingling with six goals and three assists. Max Anderson distributed the ball extremely well and tallied five assists to go with his two goals. Marco Bressi had four goals of his own with two assists.
Other notable offensive stats came from Noah Gerard with two goals and Mason Beaver netting a goal.
The defensive unit continues to perform well and looked very in sync down the stretch. Brian Madden had seven ground balls and Matt Strickler had four of his own.
CD 10 – Exeter Township 7
The Central Dauphin Rams continued their post-season quest with 10-7 victory over Exeter Township on Monday afternoon.
CD got out to an early 3-1 lead, but Exeter fought back to make it 5-3 at the half.
The Rams found some separation going up 8-3 at the end of the third frame. They played a smart ball-control style of offense to close out the win 10-7.
Another great performance was turned in by the defense and goalie David DeSousa as they held strong in a number of man-down situations due to penalties.
The offense was led by midfielder Kyle Mayberry (3 goals, 1 assist) and attackman Brenden Yingling (3 goals, 1 assist). Senior Noah Gerard had two goals and one assist.
