CD Boys Lacrosse records preseason win

CD Boys Lacrosse entered preseason games on the road Tuesday against Exeter Township and Conestoga Valley in a doubleheader and came how with two Ws.

Below is a post-game interview with junior David DeSousa and sophomore Dawson Smith, and game reports are below the video.

The Rams were down 1-0 early in the first game with Exeter Township, but quickly gained control of the game and won 4-2 thanks to strong face-work and ground ball play.

In a game that had a lot of transition play, Ram midfielders dominated ground balls and possessions on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Solid goalie play saw the game stay under CD’s control.

The second game of the evening had numerous early scoring opportunities for the green and white but failure to find the back of the net. This would allow Conestoga Valley to take a 2-0 lead and the momentum into the second half.

CD’s offense got in rhythm and took control of the game to put them ahead 4-2 down the stretch. Despite numerous penalties throughout the game, the Rams defense, particularly the man down unit, held strong to complete the come-from-behind win.

Central Dauphin Boys Lacrosse next game will be March 22 when they travel to Trinity High School for the season opener.
