Reserve your spot in Memorial Day parade

On May 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. American Legion Post 272 will sponsor our 99th parade.

This parade will pay tribute to those who have served, are serving, and most importantly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country. A parade has been conducted by our American Legion Post every year since the first one on September 6, 1919.

The Linglestown Area Civic Association will again hold the Linglestown Memorial Day Mile run/walk at 12 noon. Linglestown Road from the Linglestown Firehouse to Balthasar Street will be closed from 11:45 a.m. until the parade ends at approximately 3 p.m.

We appreciate the participation of all who help celebrate those veterans who have gone before us.

Robert H. Hoke, Linglestown Post 272, was chartered on 24 October 1919, and is one of the largest veteran organizations in Central Pennsylvania with over 800 Legionnaires.

The American Legion- was chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1919; today it has over 1.75
million members.

The Department of Pennsylvania American Legion- is headquartered in nearby
Wormleysburg.
